SHAMROCKRIDE BUILDS CUSTOM AND ORIGINAL SADDLES
ShamrockRide and Shamrock Auto Trim is a family owned business located in North Miami Beach, Florida, which my father, Dan McPherson started in 1968. My Dad is a master craftsman who stills works a full day. My mother, Kathy answers the phone, gives estimates, makes lunch, runs the office, and keeps us all in line. My brother Lee is the shop foreman, who always knows what is going on with each job. We sadly lost our mascot, a Jack Russell terrier named Frasier who came to work everyday for seventeen years. Frasier even received Christmas cards from customers and some would stop in just to say hello to him or bring him a dog biscuit. We have a new dog named Bella who is a cockapoo and much calmer. I have two other brothers that do not work in the business. My whole family was born and raised in Miami. Our business is decorated with antique signs and neon clocks that we have purchased. Many of our customers have told us that our workshop feels like they have been transported back in time. Over the years, we have had a few antique cars and motorcycles, such as a 1935 Ford truck, 1954 Packard convertible, 1936 Ford Phaeton convertible, Triumph Bonneville, Harley Road King and Dyna Glide. We try to keep current with the changing trends by attending the Leesburg bike fest and SEMA, Specialty Equipment Market Association, which is considered to be the best automotive aftermarket and progressive trade show in the world. We designed the Shamrock heat shield for the local Police Department, who complained to the Harley Davidson dealer about the excessive heat that came from the motor and was directed towards their thighs. At first we only sold to the Police Departments across the United States and to a handful of Harley dealerships. Then we realized that serious touring riders needed our product as well and that is why we started selling our product online creating Shamrockride, our online store platform. We also build original or custom saddles for all makes. Our primary business is building original and custom automotive interiors. Some potential customers may be fearful when they see the variety and extent of our custom work but I can tell you that we are just as comfortable working on a Toyota Camry as well a brand new Ferrari. We believe that the common denominator is that all customers and jobs are treated with the same level of respect and attention to detail. We can build a complete automotive interior, including new seat upholstery, headliner, door panels, carpet, convertible top and dashboard. On the other hand, you may only need us to change one section on a seat or replace a headliner. I can't emphasize enough, that no job is too big or small and we really care.
